About Sharman Ultra Coaching

Sharman Ultra Coaching was started in 2010 by ultrarunner, Ian Sharman. As an experienced runner, Ian appreciates the steep learning curve in distance running and spent years researching training methods for ultras. This includes extensive trial and error refinement over his racing career, from which he continues to learn. In 2014, we welcomed Ellie Greenwood and Liza Howard to the coaching roster, two of the top female ultrarunners in the world, then in 2015 Sean Meissner joined the team after successfully coaching many runners for years. Since then our team has expanded to include 2014 USATF 100 Mile Champion, Dr Matt Laye, Skyrunning Champion, Hillary "Hillygoat" Allen, sports psychology expert, Addie Bracy, and 200-mile specialist, Annie Hughes.
